Should You Track Your Sleep?
Day 11: Should You Track Your Sleep?
It can be hard to know how much sleep you're getting, which is why it may be helpful to invest in a sleep tracker. When you wear a tracker, you see the facts. With that information, you can make changes to your routine or try something new.

There are two main types of sleep tracking devices: wearables and non-wearables. Wearables include rings, watches, bracelets, and even head straps. Non-wearables are thin devices that slide under your mattress or sit next to your bed. There are even smart mattresses that can monitor your sleep habits.

Do they work? Researchers have found that these sleep tracking devices perform about as well at tracking cycles of sleeping and waking as more advanced lab-based monitors.

Tomorrow, we'll look at when to consider seeing a doctor for insomnia.
