Day 7: Nighttime Habits That Help You Sleep
If you've been struggling to get better sleep for a while, you've already heard the standard advice. Limit caffeine and screen time, go to bed at the same time each night, and so on. But there are less well-known things that people are doing to fall asleep, and evidence backs up many of them. Take aromatherapy. A review of several studies found that breathing in certain scents improved how well people slept. Researchers also have found that acupressure can help people nod off faster and sleep longer. And some behavioral therapy techniques, such as sleep restriction, have been shown to improve insomnia.
